The power of Press Release
Yesterday I was watching my Barcode website traffic on Google Analytics. It was increasing floantly. It’s all about my Barcode software suit.
The more traffic I have, the more free reviews I have. Generally people review my software on their blogs or forums. Sometimes I see my links on blog, chat room, forums, comments, emails….
The traffic per website is very low, this mean I get few traffic from a fellow blog, however when the quantity grows, the overall traffic grows also.. Still not enough, I’m having now about 200 visitor a day, which is good but few. I was thinking if a free press release can boost this traffic and double it.
Here’s a snap-shot of the current traffic
The matter now, how to create a press release. First you have to find a free one. Generally, every press release site, offer paid and free submission.
- Google the term ‘Free Press Release’
- Check this review on Mashable
- A bigger list on NakedPr
Remember that the more you submit, the more traffic and buzz you’ll get. You have just to prepare your review and then submit it to any press release website that you found.
I really have no experince with press releases sites and this is the first time that I’m going to try them. But I’m not expecting a rival of traffic, just a few hundreds for the first time the submission sent.
As they are also indexed by Google, I’m expecting to get a steady traffic in the future. Low but steady.
Here are the main thing to make a successful press release.
- Prepare an attractive title
- Prepare a short description (don’t forget to seo it)
- Include images, quotes from other people, the people linking to your release..; they are social proof that you have something interesting
- Link to your sites (alright)
This will be my first experience, I’ll update the post to tell you if it was successful
