    The power of Press Release

Yesterday I was watching my Barcode website traffic on Google Analytics. It was increasing floantly. It’s all about my Barcode software suit.

The more traffic I have, the more free reviews I have. Generally people review my software on their blogs or forums. Sometimes I see my links on blog, chat room, forums, comments, emails….

The traffic per website is very low, this mean I get few traffic from a fellow blog, however when the quantity grows, the overall traffic grows also.. Still not enough, I’m having now about 200 visitor a day, which is good but few. I was thinking if a free press release can boost this traffic and double it.

    Here’s a snap-shot of the current traffic

barcode-traffic The power of Press Release

The matter now, how to create a press release. First you have to find a free one. Generally, every press release site, offer paid and free submission.

Remember that the more you submit, the more traffic and buzz you’ll get. You have just to prepare your review and then submit it to any press release website that you found.

I really have no experince with press releases sites and this is the first time that I’m going to try them. But I’m not expecting a rival of traffic, just a few hundreds for the first time the submission sent.

As they are also indexed by Google, I’m expecting to get a steady traffic in the future. Low but steady.

Here are the main thing to make a successful press release.

    • Prepare an attractive title
    • Prepare a short description (don’t forget to seo it)
    • Include images, quotes from other people, the people linking to your release..; they are social proof that you have something interesting
    • Link to your sites (alright)

This will be my first experience, I’ll update the post to tell you if it was successful

Other Digg guru are not missing it

Those days, there was a lot of chatter about Mrbabyman abuse to the digg system.
Yet, it’s not only  Mrbabyman that has this odd behaviour, like digging 82 article in 3 minutes, but all the rest ‘except few’ (exceptions always occurs!) also are heavy diggers and heavy diggers means they digg, but don’t read or or even look at the title.

This happen with me also! The more you digg, the more hits and fans you get. But what I’m sure of, that those guys are using a robot to automate the job.
I have been digging heavly for a while (about 800 digg/day) and I stopped because my mind gone crazy and my hand cannot resist it, so what about people having 2 or 3 years with digg: Breif, it’s a tiny Jave Script robot, I googled but didn’t find one, and as I’m very lazy I just read the Digg API, and Microsoft Robotics haha!

Now it’s obvious to tell that to Digg moderators, because they already knows (read the faq, the digging, burying and promoting section). Kevin also know that they are selling submission and making money by hitting the front page. However made popular and submission that reach the main page are always reviewed by the Digg staff, so only quality things reach the main page.

Mrbabyman is not alone, here’s some of other Digg Power users like MakiMaki and Muhammed Saleem.

Can this be real, a man digg 100 article a day, write comments, submit… every day the same job, the same things… just for the good of other people, to give them fresh information and news.
Insanity! I don’t mean Digg is giving bad, fake, useless information but not for free, no one works for free and if some one do, it’s in his spare time, thus he won’t give digg more than 1 hour a day. However Digg power users are doing it like a real job and (they are doing it well :: I say the truth ).  Another proof it’s a job, try and you’ll find those guys every where, on Twitter, Reddit, Stumble Upon, Sphinn… They are always on the top. They also care about their popularity, or why did Mrbabyman response to the public questions (when this article got hot about his fast reading) , if i was on same stiuation, I’ll shut down my screen and to the hell…. Ahhh I’m building a bad reputition before I start !!!

No, digg won’t ban them (and if it did ban some one, that’s because the public revealed its cheating history with digg), Digg is keeping its currrent system because it’s addictive and make it grows faster, Digg also likes money!

Ideas to make a better Digg?
There’s always a way to solve any problem, if you want to stop Digging abuse, you can for example

    • Put a Digging limit (1 digg in 30 seconds, 30 digg in a day…)
    • Oblige the user to visit the site, thus you can’t digg an article without opening the article source. (Sometimes I get more than 100 digg and less than 20 hits!!!)
    • Digg in new page! This will slow the digg process. For example to digg an article you need to open a new page and then digg, open another one and so…
    • Change Digg algorithms, good users are good commenters and not good diggingers.
    • Many other ways
But Digg won’t, it even wish that it gets more and more diggs. Because the more diggs you get, the more you are statisfied, the more you are addicted.

    Disclaimer ::
My English is bad, so don’t tell me “English isn’t your mother language”.
I think (I’m sure) they are using robots, but I still just think, I don’t accuse them, they may don’t use, or it don’t exists
I think digg wants to addict people to it, I just think, but I don’t accuse
If someone think that I’m accusing him or hiting his reputition, simply leave a comment

Hard tests on Google Chrome Tabs

Yet Google announced that its new Browser “Google Chrom”, after declaring it officially on the Google Blog.
I don’t wait and I goes and download it!

Google Chrome is really a cool browser, here’s some reasons:

    • It’s ultra fast
    • It seems to be intelligent and understand what you do and want to
    • Tabs are extremely fast (as they handle new process)
    • Support for developers (Javascript debugger)

I was really surprised, why Google Chrome tabs are fast and don’t slow down the PC or the browser? And even if it uses process, this should slow down the computer! So I made a very hard test for this Browser!!!

I opened different pages and links, tens of times, more than 1 hundred, yet many hundered… I was controlling the application with Windows Tasks manager.

The Cache jumped from 232 MB to

    Google Chrome Cache

    to more than 400 MB!!!

    Google Chrome Cache

Isn’t that a lot of memory?

But we should never mind about this, as Chrome can open the tabs easily. But I heard, that each tab have a unique process! No, Google Chrome gathered some tabs to unique process and don’t assign a process for each one, ONLY if they are the same link, here’s an example.

Different URLs have different and unique processes.

chrome-tabs-process Hard tests on Google Chrome Tabs

However when it’s the same URL and you open many, Chrome is intelligent and don’t pass by!

chrome-process Hard tests on Google Chrome Tabs

It groups a number of tabs in the same process, cool no?

So did Google succeed in the Tab war with FireFox and IE.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I discovered this, when I open many windows, the nice folks who designed the browser, didn’t took care of arrows to navigate through the opened tabs. Hahaha, I can’t now select tabs I had opened, this is really stupid, Google launched the Browser without testing and trying, this is a very big issue, here’s the photo.

chrome-bug Hard tests on Google Chrome Tabs

Do you see the “?”, ok at this point, the tabs are under the reduce and close buttons, how will I select them?

The question is for the Chrome Developers team and I hope the response in the next version.

    Ramadan Karim

All Muslims knows (I hope that) we are on Ramadan. It’s Islamic month of fasting.

I don’t have much to say but “Ramadan Karim w yen3ad 3likom bel5ir” (I don’t know how to say it, on English). You can read some advices about Ramadan by Shaykh Abdullah al-Jarullah

    Here’s some photos for you

    Blogging is no more great!

    Blogging is no more great!

It’s hard to say that! But I have my reasons, you can also have your reasons to think that blogging is great and enjoyable. But for me it loss its real meaning.

It’s all because of ‘advertising‘, this thing that entered the world of blogging and as money turn around, blogging became another Internet industry, where advertising and marketing is the most important thing (or the base).

Bloggers works for money and not to provide their own view of a thing. Yet, quality doesn’t exist (although there’s a very high quality blogs and writing, but they are rare).
The problem isn’t here, let suppose that you’ll start a blog, talking about interesting things, scientific things… Who will read your blog?

It’s a pity, after having 3 or 4 hours writing and gathering ressources or other things on your article, you don’t have even one comment! However, other blogs are getting hundered for posting non-quality articles with errors.

Although many people still write good content and make hard work but…

Months ago I was a loyal reader of Jackbook, a blog about Blogging, templates, hints and other things. Jack (who is the writer) isn’t an expert on that domain, but what he learns, he shares in his blog and that the thing that I liked from him.
Yet, Jack announced that he was earning $500 every month from his blog, which is a good amount of money.

Right now all is great, but when money is in.. quality turns from better to worse (Jack became a bad writer, uses bad language, indifferent of what he posts) from worse to terrible (Yet, Jack discovered a trick on how to explose his blog traffic by posting sexy related content to the olympics games!!!)

And here’s a blog with more than 2,000 reader turned to….. and I unsubscribed from his blog!
I discovered also (from project wonderful who allow to see statics of sites publishers will advertise on) that his traffic jumped from 3000 to 70,000 daily.  I should say ‘that great! He would make 20 more money than he would’. But he did spam his blog and this is the bad point.

It’s not blogging who drive us to write, it’s money. So if you are a real blogger, try Wordpress.com! Yet, on Wordpress.com you can’t advertise. Wordpress isn’t expanding, but the quality is good (not perfect, but good  )

    Ya it’s addictive

Totally addictive, this is why people can’t stop it. The money makes it more and more addictive! So be careful!
Yet, I’m not against blogging (If so, then why I blog myself) but I’m about the spam and the repeated content. The web is flooded with repeated content. If something bring traffic and eyeballs, yet every person writes about it by reformulating the words or translating them to its own language.

    A solution?

It’s a easy to find a solution, it’s to start from yourself. If you think about reader, social websites can bring the nessec readers to your articles. Here I’m writing a blog about that, I’m trying to review social websites and how to work with each one to get traffic to your blog or site and build your popularity around the web.
The aim is that everyone has its unique content, articles and words. Then social websites have to share their traffic, between the different blogs,  I think this will be great to be real

Yet it’s hard to do, as millions of young spammers (and I was one) are running around, ooff!!!
