Display bug on Barcode Maker 2.6

I discovered this bug, I have long time from now. But as the blog moved here and the posts still in the old one, not much people did see it!

Yes, there’s a small bug, that if you don’t correct it, you probably can’t work with Barcode Maker.

The problem is that when you type a code and click on generate button, or the program generate it automatically, you don’t see anything but white box with different sizes each time you put a code.

You must see something like that

If that what you see, then good! here’s the problem and the solution

  • Right click on your desktop and select property
  • Select the ‘appearance’ tab
  • Unselect the Classic windows style (for vista or Xp)

You should know have the classic style but the application works!

Still have a problem? Post a comment!

Barcode Maker 2.6 was missing fonts

Today, I come up with a comment from Pwner,  saying “Barcode Maker 2.6 doesn’t have the fonts within
I was really surprised : How does this come? Simply I made a small error

Instead of putting the fonts in Windows fonts directory, I just putted them on the same directory as Barcode Maker 2.6 installs, then the user can use the product, and if it opens this won’t shows anything

The reason why I didn’t get noticed with this bug, is that I’m working and testing on computers where older version of Barcode Maker are already installed. So, when I install a enw version, I don’t notice they are missing, those little fonts.

Now I have made a new Setup program that you can download and I hope this time I didn’t miss with anything. I have changed the setup platform that I was working with, and wrote a new Readme and licence files. ! Don’t worry those onces are much better than the older ! Barcode Maker now can be used for commercial use without no limitation as it used to be.

Please leave a comment or just send me an email if you found any bug.

Hidden functions on Google Chart API

When we launched our QR-Code Generator, (and up to now), it can only generates Text QR-Code, that mean, you put the Text and it generates the Qr-Code Label.

So may be, you consider that Kaywa Qr-Code Generator, is much better than ours, simply because it generates URL, SMS and Phone number Qr-Code.

No! They are not better, you can also do so with our QR-Code Generator, but this is a hidden functinality on the Google Chart API.

So how to do it? You can read this page if you are so involved on programming, or at least on HTML language. But we don’t! We are going to fix our Qr-Code Generator and improve it. Those new functions will be available before 10 september.

  1. Better Design for the Qr-Code Generator
  2. Supports Long Text (250 ch), SMS, Number Dial, Email
  3. Export as a Blogger Widget

You still think of other functions we can include? Let us know by leaving a comment.

We moved to Wordpress

We have about 3 months now on Blogger. And it’s really a good blogging platform, although we moved to Wordpress.

But there’s few reasons why we did so..

  • Having the site, the blog, the documentation all in one place
  • Wordpress is more advanced and customizable than Blogger

And we have done it, however we won’t import the old articles, but we are going to make new ones. So keep up with the blog by subscribing to our RSS Feeds.
